“Books are adventure. They contain murder and mayhem and passion. They love anyone who opens them.”

The Quote Hoarder is a series of posts where I share some of my favorite quotes from different books, manga, anime or tv series.
― Wonder, RJ Palacio
I first discovered this quote on reviewkingdomblog when he reviewed the book. It had made such an impact that I never forgot about it, and now I’m wondering if it will do same for who might be reading this..
It’s beautiful to think that I might get a standing ovation even just once in my life. I wonder how that would feel? But as a regular gal I think that’s highly unlikely, and so instead of a standing ovation I will settle for the simple things like a pat in the back, or even a “good job”, “you’re doing amazing”, and the clincher “I’m proud of you.”
It’ll be a miniseries of ovations and it will be collected and safely stored until it becomes a standing ovation in my heart.
Here on the blogosphere we even have our own system of mini ovations. A like or a thumbs up, a comment to appreciate one’s effort, or even a supportive and helpful ping-back to a post. They do wonders not only for the blogger’s self confidence but also for the person behind the blog.
You never know you’re already contributing to one’s standing ovation so give the love around and for sure it’ll come back to you!
For the love of words and quotes, feel free to join me any time! I’d love to know your favorite quotes. You can post your own and link here or even a comment below will suffice.

Note to self: Make lots and lots of list. Do not in any occasion this year try to appear clever. Continue reading “Tuesday Lists to Do, Covers to Drool Over, and Manga to Read”
My blog tags are growing in number and I can almost hear them getting impatient in their temporary home in my bookmarks, and I know I’ll be lamenting over my lateness in responding to them, so why not do it already? “Only in art were there cliches; never in nature. There were no ordinary human beings. Everybody was born with surprise inside.”

You know my name but not my to be read shelf… so I’d like you guys to be acquainted with my ever growing TBR. I usually feed it once in a blue moon but in large quantities. It’s wrecking havoc in my priorities and a fearsome entity, thus I fondly call it my monster TBR or mons-TBR for short. Continue reading “My Name in TBR Book Tag — My Monster & Me”
I have often professed my undying love towards the character that is Tessa Gray and because of several fanarts and edits, the image stuck in my mind will forever be in the likes of Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, who is an actress best known for playing the mermaid Syrena in Pirates of the Caribbean. “The world in books seemed so much more alive to me than anything outside. I could see things I’d never seen before. Books and music were my best friends. I had a couple of good friends at school, but never met anyone I could really speak my heart to.” — Haruki Murakami

Just to be clear, “Hobi” is a nickname for the sunshine member of BTS.
Because third time’s the charm and it’s day three, I’ll use it as an excuse to share three quotes all from the same book. Continue reading “3 Days, 3 Quotes: The True Worth of Stories”
