I first discovered this quote on reviewkingdomblog when he reviewed the book. It had made such an impact that I never forgot about it, and now I’m wondering if it will do same for who might be reading this..
It’s beautiful to think that I might get a standing ovation even just once in my life. I wonder how that would feel? But as a regular gal I think that’s highly unlikely, and so instead of a standing ovation I will settle for the simple things like a pat in the back, or even a “good job”, “you’re doing amazing”, and the clincher “I’m proud of you.”
It’ll be a miniseries of ovations and it will be collected and safely stored until it becomes a standing ovation in my heart.
Here on the blogosphere we even have our own system of mini ovations. A like or a thumbs up, a comment to appreciate one’s effort, or even a supportive and helpful ping-back to a post. They do wonders not only for the blogger’s self confidence but also for the person behind the blog.
You never know you’re already contributing to one’s standing ovation so give the love around and for sure it’ll come back to you!

Over the years, I have often heard the term ‘bookworm’ and I have even used the word myself several times. I took it to mean that it is someone who loves reading. When I looked it up, the actual definition of a bookworm is: a person unusually devoted to reading or study; who prefers reading to just about any other activity.
