(A gif that perfectly illustrates my relationship with the said shelf …)
You know my name but not my to be read shelf… so I’d like you guys to be acquainted with my ever-growing TBR. I usually feed it once in a blue moon but in large quantities. It’s wreaking havoc in my priorities and a fearsome entity, thus I fondly call it my monster TBR or mons-TBR for short.
Thankfully, the awesome Jessica @ The Awkward Book Blogger tagged me for this so I’ll be able to share some book titles which could be a recommendation to you and to serve as a reminder to me. Thanks, Jessica! ❤
So, what you’re supposed to do is take your name and find a book from your TBR that starts with each letter of your name (in my case it’s two books per letter). I decided to do both my username and the title for my book blog.
“Chizurue”
C — Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas | Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
H — Harry Potter: A History of Magic | Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I — Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine | Ink by Alice Broadway
Z — Zodiac by Romina Rusell | Zero Hour by Pittacus Lore
U — Unhinged by A.G. Howard | The Unbound by Victoria Schwab
R — RoseBlood by A.G. Howard | Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
U — The Universe of Us by Lang Leav | Untamed by A.G. Howard
E — Everless by Sara Holland | Every Exquisite Thing by Cassandra Clare & Maureen Johnson
“Mnemosyne”
The site title of the book blog, and if you’re curious about how to pronounce it.
M — Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs | The Midnight Star by Marie Lu
N — Nevernight by Jay Kristoff | Night of Cake & Puppets by Laini Taylor
E — Ember by Kristen Callihan | An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
M — Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers | Monstrous Sea by Francesca Zappia
O — Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab | Out of the Ashes by Pittacus Lore
S — Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor | Splintered by A.G. Howard
Y — The Young Elites series by Marie Lu (This was so hard… I already read the first book of the series but not yet finished with the trilogy — remaining two books to be read: The Rose Society and The Midnight Star. I’m cheating and putting the series title. No other y in my TBR shelf at Goodreads. I have no idea y.)
N — The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern | Night Study by Maria V. Snyder
E — Eight’s Origin by Pittacus Lore | Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
I tag:
Alicia @ Miss Honeybug’s Reads & Crafts | Dania @ Bookish Thoughts | Lili @ Lili’s Blissful Pages | Kayla @ Books and Blends | Malanie @ Malanie Loves Fiction | J.W. Martin @ Storeys of Stories. No pressure to do this tag if you’re not up to it. ^^ And to anyone who might be interested — feel free to do this tag too if you want and link to this post so I could check it out!
That’s it for this meet and greet with the notorious TBR. Thanks again Jessica for the chance to show off some lovely books!
“Cats don’t have names,” it said.
“No?” said Coraline.
“No,” said the cat. “Now you people have names. That’s because you don’t know who you are. We know who we are, so we don’t need names.”
A lot of these books are on my list too Chi-san!
Also that quote at the end is brilliant~

I was wondering if I should put some manga but I have yet to organize that shelf… Maybe I’ll do it on MAL 😀
Yeah they’re awesome too. LOL a cat (not a girl) has no name!

I’m having a hard time responding to book tags to be honest. I just can’t find the right books to include! So I can totally understand the predicament 😀

Thank you for tagging me Chizurue. 🙂 🙂 I did this tag already and I remember enjoying it so I’ll try doing it again and this time I’ll go spell my blog name. 🙂 🙂
And I do enjoy saying Mnemosyne.. Thanks again.

You’re very welcome! Looking forward to that then 🙂
Ahaha glad to hear. I couldn’t find it in me to change the blog title yet so I’ll stick with it for a while.

I first encounter that name on Mythology. I think it’s a perfect name for your site and unique too. 🙂 🙂

I do wonder where you get all your quotes from! I am so bad with writing down quotes haha. I think I will eventually do this tag – thanks for sharing it! 😊

A lot of these are on my TBR! I’m such a huge Marvel fan and not so much of a DC fan, but I’ve been loving the DC Icons series and I’m so excited to read Catwoman: Soulstealer!

I definitely need this tag, thanks for tagging me! I’ve read the Miss Peregrine series and it was very exciting for me. Eleanor and Park ended up giving me lots of YA feels, which was great.

You’re welcome! I started the book in the past but never finished it for some reason, I’d like to pick it up soon again. Same with Eleanor and Park ^^

I’m so happy you did this! You went the extra miles and found two books for each letter. 😄

Since my name (or blog title) isn’t as long as yours and I’d also like a helpful reminder of books I haven’t read yet, I shared two books per letter 😀 Thanks again for the tag!

Thank you for tagging me wohooo!! love tags 😛 I saw so many books I also have on my TBR, my ever growing highly neglected TBR hahaha!!. Cats are full of wisdom, Neil Gaiman as well… and I need to add Coraline to my TBR pffft.

It’s my pleasure! ^^ If it’s ever growing then in a way it’s not neglected because we’re ‘feeding’ it 😀 Could probably build a book fort with it too..
